I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. I have always loved kids and once thought I’d have 6 – at 10 years old that sounded like a plan! During high school and college I babysat to earn money in addition to going to school and working full-time. During high school and college I also volunteered for child-oriented groups. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and have held various business related jobs.
In 1997 I moved to Northwest OHio for a job and soon after met my husband who I married in Jamaica in 1999. We moved to Central Ohio in 1999 and I took a job at a local insurance agency. I am a licensed property and casualty agent as well as working with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and as such I have had a full background check and fingerprinting. In 2001 we welcomed our son into the world and I continued working. In 2004 our daughter was born and I began doing home childcare in November 2004. I enjoy scrapbooking, scuba diving, exercising, reading, crafts and hanging out with my family. Doing home childcare has been the most challenging but rewarding job I have ever done. I enjoy it much more than I thought I would when I started out. During 2005-06 school year I taught the kids home preschool 5 days a week. I am so attached to all the children in my care and feel as though they and their families are my family too. I trust if you give me an opportunity to watch your child/children we will come to that same feeling.
